For more than 20 years, a leading global network computing products and services provider has been at the forefront of technology innovation, and the company is currently undergoing a major transformation that is changing the way it does business. To remain competitive globally, the client is handing much of the responsibility for its application development and support to CSC. The client will build on CSC's contract base and industry experience to go to market more effectively.
The transition involves around 850 of the client’s employees to be outsourced to CSC, with a majority of them to India. The client, together with CSC is establishing a development centre in India where skilled applications professionals will be trained in applying the company solutions. Once the transition is complete, CSC will manage the client’s complete portfolio of internal business systems applications.

This is a very large and complex program that requires infrastructure, hardware set-up and network connectivity, application environment setup and people recruitment and training to be done within just nine months. Both, the client and CSC have jointly aligned their goals to make this outsourcing program successful to date.
