CSC Ranked No.3 in 2008 Black Book of Outsourcing

The Black Book of Outsourcing survey, conducted annually by Brown-Wilson Group, a Clearwater, Fla., based research firm and consultancy, aims at identifying the 50 best-managed global outsourcing vendors as well as industry trends and client-vendor relationships. The leading global outsourcing service providers are evaluated across 26 management criteria and 18 operational excellence key performance indicators, completely from the perspective of the client experience.

In 2008, over 400,000 global outsourcing users were invited to participate in the survey. The top fifty emerged as the cream of the crop, scoring highest among 4,207 global outsourcing suppliers of various service lines and locations, based on the collective client experience of 24,910 user respondents. 1,690 outsourcing firms from 45 countries achieved the minimum verifiable client counts to be ranked from 1 to 1,690, from over 4,207 customer-named suppliers.

2008 Black Book of Outsourcing is the fifth annual survey of outsourcing management conducted by Brown-Wilson Group where CSC is positioned 3rd in the Top 50 list. According to the survey, “Management reorganization and a beefed up commitment to outsourcing clients pushed CSC ahead of many ITO/BPO competitors. Acquisitions of Covansys BPO & First Consulting Group (Healthcare industry) brought new trials and new opportunities. All eyes on them, CSC‘s leaders passed with flying colors. Commanding verticals through acquisitions might just push CSC to the top”.

19 of 4,500 Suppliers Maintain Consistent Top 50 Status, among which CSC ranked No. 7 in maintaining consistent position in the Black Book 50 for five consecutive years (2004-2008, ranked by average survey position per year). The clients of 19 global outsourcing vendors (down from twenty-four vendors in the 2007 four year honors category) have scored their relationships and satisfaction high enough to maintain the consistent positions in the Black Book 50 for five consecutive years (2004-2008).
