Emirates Group and CSC India Inaugurate Dedicated Development Center in India

Mercator, the information technology (IT) division of Dubai-based Emirates Group and Computer Sciences Corporation (NYSE:CSC), yesterday inaugurated the Dedicated Development Center (DDC) in Bangalore, India. The opening of the DDC is a part of a previously announced contract, signed between Mercator and Covansys, a company now merged with CSC India.

Working with CSC India, Mercator's new DDC will offer its travel and transportation industry clients scalable IT services including product development, applications development and maintenance, testing services, technology consulting and project management across a full range of technologies such as Java, Oracle application and data warehousing, Dot Net, ERP and other specialized niche technologies. The DDC will energize Emirates Group's business expansion plans and strengthen Mercator's existing development capabilities and position as a leading IT solution supplier to the aviation industry.

On this occasion, Patrick Naef, Head of Mercator and Divisional Senior Vice President IT, Emirates Group, congratulated the team saying, "The inauguration of Mercator's DDC facility is a very happy moment for all of us. We have achieved a key landmark in our IT sourcing strategy. With a goal to satisfy the diverse needs and IT challenges of the Emirates Group, we are also keen to satisfy all our other customers around the world." He added that, "This relationship with CSC India will help ensure success in fueling the growth of both these organizations by developing innovative and cutting edge IT solutions."
