Computer Sciences Corporation Announces New Chennai Operation

Centre to Become Fourth CSC Location in India

Chennai, India, April 4 - Computer Sciences Corporation (NYSE: CSC) today announced plans to open a new development centre in Chennai. This extends CSC’s presence in India to a fourth location and underscores the company’s significant expansion efforts. CSC’s other locations in India include Noida, Indore and Hyderabad.

“We selected Chennai as one of our strategic locations to support CSC’s aggressive growth objectives in India. Chennai is among the first few cities to start offshore software development in this country and, through proactive initiatives on behalf of the state government, has established a reputation for excellence in IT services. Other factors involved in our selection include Chennai’s excellent educational system, its strong talent base and quality of life,” said Tom Kenyon, President and Managing Director of CSC’s operations in India.

The company plans to begin operating in Chennai on April 15 from centrally located leased premises, which will initially house 400 employees. CSC is actively recruiting for all levels with the goal of ramping up to 1,000 in Chennai by year end and 3,000 when fully operational. The facility will provide applications and infrastructure services for many of CSC’s global clients.

“With an Office of Innovation, deep domain capabilities, strong technology expertise and experienced leadership, CSC’s operations in India play a key role in the company’s world sourcing strategy and global business plans. We will leverage both our India and international experience to build a strong presence for CSC in Chennai and deliver significant business results to the clients we serve,” noted Mr. Kenyon.
