Computer Sciences Corporation India dedicates school building to village Nayagaon, Simroel

Indore, July 8, 2002: Computer Sciences Corporation India Pvt. ltd. today dedicated a village school project to the villagers of Nayagaon, Simroel, 32 kms from Indore. CSC India's Social Services Committee handed over the keys of the school building to the village in a function attended by CSC India professionals and the local villagers.

The company to take up social causes and serve the community in which CSC India operates has funded the CSC India Social Services Committee. This is the fourth such initiative by the committee. Last year it had handed over a primary school to the villagers of Sagar Paisa.

The school will offer both primary and adult education streams and will instruct 50 children and will also impart education to 35 adults including 10 women. The primary education will be in Hindi, English, Math's and Science. The entire building cost of Rs 50,000/- has been borne by CSC India. There will be no tuition fees charged and the facilities will include an established and permanent building with good ventilation and proper lighting. The school has been equipped with chairs, tables and wall clocks.. There will be provision for carpeting to facilitate sitting arrangements for children. There is also a library with books for adults and children including those for story, general and religious reading.

The school is easily accessible from the entire village. It has been made possible also due to the ready enthusiasm of the children and adults of the village. The strength of the school is expected to increase by over 80% before the year is out.
